  1. It has been a few years since I’ve had to use a torque wrench. This is a solid refresher. Thank you very much. πŸ‘πŸΌ

  2. Great video! I have exact type of wrench but the button locking nut keeps coming off when setting torque. Is this common failure? I think I used it 3-4 times and it’s past its warranty period.

  3. As a newbie, you have no idea how helpful this video to me. Its clear and very infomative. You are a good teacher btw. Thank you!

  4. I’d get a 1/2" drive to handle anything then put a 3/8" adaptor or 1/4" for smaller bolts and sockets.

  5. This is the best automotive video I have ever seen. The clarity, the details, the proper names. God bless, sir πŸ™

  6. You don’t even know what units are? FYI that are the accurate units used in scientific terms. Making a educational video, you should not show ignorance.

  7. Chris good video , question i need 8newton torque setting but have wrench that only goes down to 28nt can i go lower by reducing to 20nt to give 8newton sorry i work in metric ireland

  8. 2:38 – I couldn’t find it in my user manual, but Google says my 25 Honda Civic hatchback sport touring uses 19 mm lug nuts?

So I need a 19 mm socket? There seem to be tons of β€œsockets” on Amazon, what exactly am I looking for?

  9. What if the zero dont line up with the line? It’s either under or above it, by then im assuming the zero and the edge of the rotating handle is supposed to be lined exactly with the line.

I want to set it at 38nm, closest points are 34.0-40.7, are those also supposed to line up with 0 or is it different with 34.0 because it doesn’t end with 0?

  10. Question, can I reduce a 1/2" torque wrench to 3/8" with small reducer so that do not have to purchase another Torque wrench? thanks

  11. Im only 2:36 in and already the best video explaining this, i have been searching for a very long time! Thank you!

  12. While you did illustrate it, you did NOT mention the torque-one-skip-one rule for odd-numbers of nuts. AND you did not mention lubrication of the bearing surfaces of the nuts. TWO rules of proper torquing: The bearing surfaces must be lubricated (yes, I know most mechanics tell you that if you do, the nuts will fall off, but if you read the operating instructions of good torque wrenches, you will see their recommended procedures), and the nut must be moving when the "click" occurs, or you are only determining that the nut is torqued to not less than the set value. Also, you show the back-breaking way of using the torque wrench: by pulling UP. Instead, place the wrench on the other side of the nut so that your weight, not your muscle is doing the work!! I am design engineer working many years in the aerospace industry, where these things are well taught.

  13. 2:54 How come he tightens it until it clicks once and then untightens it one click as well? Are we supposed to do that? or can we stop moving it after it clicks once.

  14. HI, CHRIS. WHEWN WILL THE VIDEO ON HOW TO CALIBRATE A TORQUE WHENCH COME OUT? NOT SURE IF IT HAS COME OUT.

  15. Does it matter which size wrench I use to torque wheel studs? I have the smaller handle one with a 1/4 inch drive

  16. I got the same torque wrench as you…. Instead of recalibrating it if it’s expensive I’ll just buy a new one they only cost $60 here in Australia

  17. Do you have video or can you you make a video on how to convert torques. For example, Nm to Lb in, Nm to Lb ft, Lb ft to Lb in., ect. Thanks. If I only have a torque wrench in Lb inch and have the specs in foot lb i wanna know how to convert that to my torque wrench. Thanks.
