  1. The feeling when driving it is amazing. The joy of owning one however is a different story. Like most Jaguar ownerships.

  2. I today’s world wherw BMW are dropping the ball so thoroughly how could Jag not make this a success?

  3. "JAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAG" – Unfortunately, I only have an XF (fantastic car), but, as soon as I win the lottery this Friday I’m buying an F-Type – a V8!!.
    ❤❤❤❤❤❤

  4. I’m here after the “rebrand”. In my mind, this is what jaguar will always be – a snorting hippo

  5. I have got one of these, and I have no idea how Clarkson can moan about the ride. Its fine. One other point is that he did not put it in dynamic or sport mode. How could he forget that.

  6. I’ll keep hold of my XKR for as long as i can. Just to remind me of how good Jags used to be!

  7. Years ago there was an add where the fan belt snapped on a jag and the girlfriend slid her stocking off and it was used to replace the belt.
    Find that unwoke add.

  8. My what has Jaguar done to destroy this once beautiful legacy. I was dreaming of finally being able to get a R75 Ftype, even used it as such a desirable car. But this week Jaguar told me they don’t want me to own a Jaguar, they are interested in a different kind of demographic. I will reluctantly comply, RIP Jaguar.

  9. I purchased the twin to this car BRG with the dark brown leather. It was a beast and I loved every moment dring it. Drove a mountain pass at 85 plus with curves. It never let me down. Sold it after two year when someone paid me what I purchased it for . Only had to do oil changes. Would definitely do another.

  10. "In many ways it puts me in mind of a bmw m3… except it’s not a bmw, it’s a jag" 😢 r.i.p

  11. It’s now 10 years later and Jaguar not only stopped making cars that people want but they destroyed an iconic British brand with a 30 second commercial that looked like a bad attitude Benetton fashion ad tripping on acid.

  12. Engine at the front, drive to the rear and big smiling piece of meat in the middle. 😅

All cars should boil down to just this one line.

  13. I’ve just come full circle. A few months after this video, I bought a 2015 F-Type S. Last year for 2WD, for a reason. British Racing Green of course. I loved it. Eventually though we parted ways and I’ve had a Jeep Grand Cherokee as an interim vehicle for a couple of years.

Well yesterday I bought a low mileage 2023 F-Type R (57,000 GBP) and I am smiling again. I had forgotten what exhilaration was ! In the Western US, with bigger roads and also some canyoneering, there’s room for 600HP and a hooligan behind the wheel. But unlike the Corvette Z06, the F-Type can cruise too. Doesn’t always have to be 100% crazy……apparently. I’m sure that’s true too.

Over 60 years old now and not slowing down. In the car, anyway. I do spend an increasing amount of time pottering around the garden too.
