  1. I’m just starting backpacking and this stove has been great. Is there better, sure there is but when you just start no need to spend tons of money. You might end up using a different cook system but you need to learn with something. I haven’t been in windy conditions, mostly rain so that hasn’t been a issue but easy fix with foil. People say it can only boil water but I cook on it no problem. Get a stove that works for your style, Hike your own Hike- Cook your own food.

  2. Never cared about how much they weigh if they all are below 120 grams, plus u will never carry it alone, u need the cartridge with it

  3. Bought this and it works great! I’d definitely recommend picking up a wind screen though. Anyone have any suggestions for which one to get to go with this stove?

  4. Does anyone have a concern in which the base overheats? That it will transfer the heat to the canister and will explode?

  5. It’s lighter because it’s titanium…. and it doesn’t have a piezo. So you carry the extra weight with a lighter. But hey 16 bucks isn’t bad.

  6. This stove has been around for a

It’s a good deal for the price, but if you’re going to be depending on this for your life

Spend the money and buy a Soto Windmaster. It is literally the best pocket stove on the market.

  7. Chinese made

Knockoff models are a plenty and the stove’s pot supports bend. Not the fault of the main company, just a warning

Also they’re incredibly inefficient. As in a 4 minute boil time compared to whatever the pocket rocket 2 achieves. Makes me laugh when people pair it with those 4oz cans

However it’s kinda neat when in use. Owned one and used it once and gave it to a newbie friend as his first stove

  8. The threading failed on my PCT thru-hike, wouldn’t screw on any gas can. I suspect they also use titanium even for the threads which is too soft and should be aluminum or even steel for this part.
Seems fine for weekend warriors though.

  9. And it is one if the most reliable and best proved stoves. Thousands of long distance hikers used it in the past years.

  10. With stoves like this, it’s not the stoves weight that’s concerning, it’s the fuel canisters that can add the weight. For through hikers it can be a pain to get the canisters.

  11. I love this little stove, every now and then I need to bend the arms back into place, sometimes I break it. But I can but like 6 of them before I spend as much as I would have for something like the Pocket rocket.

  12. Other cool feature is titanium cools so fast it’s crazy. Can pack up by the time you’ve mixed in your instant coffee.

  13. Why not just retake the clip lol. 26 ounces lighter than an ounce. Quantum physics or something. Because it gets us to comment duhh
