  1. My dad tends to misplace a lot of tools in the garage throughout the years so I’m slowly building my own arsenal and organization. Thanks for this!

  2. Halfords Advanced is like a Nissan, not too expensive, good product but not nice to tell people you drive one, but damnnnnn that warranty

  3. Craftsman is like a Chevy Silverado. Classic, gotten pricey over the years, but reliable in most cases

  4. Husky is like the toyota of tools it not the most luxurious and its not the fastest but its built good and it has lifetime warranty so you don’t have to worry the next time you put a pipe on that breaker bar and it snapped and recreated the first moon landing πŸ˜‚

  5. This video came out a while ago, and Harbor Freight prices have not changed much, but their quality has gone WAY up.
I only buy stuff there now, because it just makes no sense to spend more on tools with how long my Harbor Freight stuff is lasting now.

  6. under any circumstances do you buy a craftsman ratchet imthey get gummed up really easily and then they work like crap

  7. Chrisfix i’ve been in the industry for a while now in and out and just this year i purchased a tool box similar to yours with 7 drawers i have a huge milwaukee but the problem is is that it’s way to big for the job and i was wondering how can i organize the tool’s and the sockets the huge problem for me is the sockets because they can’t go facing up so what can i do? for that can you help me out.. is your easy foam pre cut and do they sell it like that or did you have to make yours i don’t want to spend alot so if you can help me out that would be great thank you and i hope you reply back to this comment!

  8. is someone who is going to school to be mechanic my teacher says harbor freight pittsburgh tools are great to start on and he is still using his some of his pittsburgh tools to this day in his almost 45 year carreer

  9. Qwinn is a good brand from HF.

Not exspesive like the Icon brand, not cheap like the Pittsburg brand. Just right and good quality.

  10. He said Hyundai, Ferrari, and Corvette for the tools analogy, but no Honda nor Toyota? 😑
LOL I’m looking for the best midrange set of tools

  11. Important note, your old disorganized tool box doesn’t have to have loose tools rolling around. You can get sheets of polyethylene foam and cut out tool slots for yourself.

  12. Nah bro im 18, buying my first car. Honda civic i dont know whta you think about it. But i knew if i was buying a cas I turly had learn about them this past months bro i have been watching alk your videos and practicing with ny family car.

  13. I’ve actually had quite a lot of use for a crescent wrench. They work well when you are remove a nut/bolt that isn’t in a common size. They are also handy if you need two wrenches the same size and you only have one. It’s not a replacement for the proper tool, but it gets the job done a lot of times.

  14. I know this video is 8 years old but I disagree with you on the breaker bar, better to use an impact wrench. The chance of snapping bolts is lower.

  15. I have lots of toolsπŸ§°πŸ› πŸͺ›β›πŸ”§πŸͺšπŸ”¨πŸ”©βš’βš™οΈ from Abraham

  16. I’m a bit fan of the Dewalt mechanic set. My pop was kinda the guy who lived and breathed Dewalt never seen one given out and it’s affordable and always a good starter if all you fix is basic stuff.

  17. My tip is: a little bit of wd40 can help you to clean those tools and prevent rusty I’m used to do that after used my tools as well I add some grease to some movements parts of my tweezers and my pliers

  18. There are sets now called Master Socket sets that have no skips. You’ll get a ton of bits and not need to worry about starting out with something wrong or missing. Id say get one of those as cheap as you can then replace the ones you break with high quality versions.

Where do you get the foam organizer?

  19. i mostly buy cheap tools like pittsburgh unless I know that i will need high quality for a project.

  20. I own many snap-on tools and I’ve always seen them as extremely overpriced and overrated, sure they’re quality tools made in America but I prefer proto over snap-on. They’re made in America, high quality, and cost much less.

  21. A great way to get tools for cheap is to get a job at a hardware store, harbor freight gives a 20 percent discount to employees
